Feelin’ at Home
Why is it some folks have a hard time finding a church where they feel at home? If you are having a hard time finding a good church this could be just the message you need to help you start “feelin’ at home”.
The greatest impact of the gospel in the lives of people took place when the bible was translated into the language the masses. Today, we also have the challenge of translating the gospel in the “language” of today’s generation.
The Message of the Church – The church has never been perfect and God never even intended it to be a collection of flawless people. Yet, to this band filled with “not many wise or influential” God committed the most important message mankind has ever heard. The church is His method and “He has no other plan”.
The role the church plays on our lives covers three important areas. See God’s strategy in strengthening and empowering our lives.
When bad things happen, is God the reason behind the event? Is everything that comes into our life His will for us? If not, then is He truly in control of the universe? Does everything happen for a reason or could it just be we live in a fallen world, filled with fallen people?
We say it to encourage others but is it really true that “God won’t give you more than you can handle”? Is it true “God may bend you but He won’t break you”? Pastor Rick examines Scripture and lays out four reasons we may find outselves overwhelmed with life.
